The Ontario Karting scene is seeing a proliferation of race teams coming onto the market literally every season. The race team approach has taken hold in Ontario and generally, is an attractive option for drivers who are looking to develop in the sport beyond the recreational level. The challenge for many drivers and/or parents seeking out a team is being able to see beyond the initial offering and determine which team:

  • is right for them long term
  • is clear in communicating how it will operate / function
  • has goals, a mission, values and a mandate
  • has a driver profile and driver requirements that are consistent with its mandate
  • has a plan that goes beyond the next race ? and is long term oriented.
  • has the best offering in terms of:
    • Competitive Chassis / Engine package
    • Trackside / Race-Day Parts Support
    • Tuning and Set-up
    • Driver Coaching and Development

For the most part teams in Ontario have become selling or distribution arms for karts and kart related equipment with most driver / team arrangements varying from somewhat specific to very vague. The recurring theme that is resonating in the paddocks is the diminishing team support that results as teams grow in size, or stray off course because the interests of its drivers are not aligned. The cost of racing karts competitively is not insignificant and these costs only get magnified when drivers have to make too many moves in search of the right long term team.

GreenSpeed Karting will change the face of team racing in Ontario.

The GreenSpeed Misson

GreenSpeed is dedicated to becoming the most professional kart racing team in Ontario providing the best long term karting experience for racers who aspire to be the best they can be on and off the track, and who are serious about realizing their personal goals in racing. We will achieve this by offering a proven championship chassis and engine program, complete trackside tuning and support, and most importantly ? a tremendous focus on driver skill development and racing maturity development.

Consistent with what we have set out to accomplish, GreenSpeed will be working with a select group of drivers for the race season who value all of the elements of our mission statement and who are committed to the success of the team as well as themselves. Drivers that suit our program will be those who understand that racing is not an individual sport, and to succeed long term requires the commitment and support of diversely skilled group of people.

The focus of the team will be on Ontario and Quebec Regional events, traveling club events, as well as the Canadian Nationals. The team will also look beyond Canadian borders with the option to participate in select racing events in the United States.
