    GreenSpeed Karting is pleased to announce the addition of Darren White as business partner to their Toronto-based operation. With an expanding race team, Team Owner Michael Morrison felt it was necessary to bring in a partner, and White will begin to manage the day-to-day operations of the successful TonyKart team.

    As GreenSpeed Karting hits the midway point in the Canadian karting season and gears up for even more intense racing action, a successful season thus far has propelled the elite team into the forefront of Canadian karting. With the final event of the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship (ECKC) set for this weekend at the picturesque Mont-Tremblant circuit in Quebec, the team will look to add to their already impressive season and prepare for the upcoming Canadian National Championships. After an astonishing two wins, seven podiums, 14 top-fives and 23 top-tens amongst the eight member strong squad, GreenSpeed Karting can contribute their successes to a cohesive team mentality as well as the strength of their chassis of choice, TonyKart.     GreenSpeed Karting officially kicked off their 2011 season this past weekend at the famed Goodwood Kartways, home to the opening round of this year’s Eastern Canadian Karting Championship. Eight drivers displayed the GreenSpeed / TonyKart colours with Rotax Junior standout Cameron Morrison earning one of the best weekends of his young driving career. Scoring a victory and a podium finish, Morrison quickly displayed that he is a sure threat for the 2011 Rotax Junior Championship. Also placing GreenSpeed on the podium was Austin Milwain, as he steered his way to a third place finish in his first race in Canada as a Rotax Senior. Finally, continuing his impressive pace in the Rotax Mini-Max class, J.P. Hutchinson also stood on the podium for GreenSpeed. READ MORE

For 2010 the team has made a full assault on the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship (ECKC) as well as the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship (BSRKC) and the ASN Canada FIA Canadian National Karting Championships.     Greenspeed Karting, the official Ontario dealer for the Tony Kart line of chassis and OTK line of karting accessories has completed a stellar first half the of the 2010 North American karting season. 2010 has seen changes at the second year karting team with new faces and new races part of the teams' success in the first half of the year. The Greenspeed Karting team is made up of nine drivers running in five different classes in four different series. The broad reach of the team is only matched by the broad appeal of the Tony Kart brand, as the famous Italian mark sets records around the world. Proof in racing is found in results. To date in 2010, three of the five track records set at the Mosport International Karting at the recent round of the new Eastern Canadian Karting Championship were set by Tony Karts. READ MORE

White can also be found in poosition number five of the Rotax Max Senior rankings as well. In the Rotax Max Junior rankings, Cameron Morrison caps off a stellar rookie season ranked fourth.

    GreenSpeed pilot Darren White is in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt for the 2009 Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals. Contesting in the Rotax Max DD2 class, Darren is doing battle against 71 other pilots from around the world. Check back often for updates, or follow along on eKartingNews.ca.


    Saturday December 12, 2009:

    While battling in the top-10, contact in lap 20 ended Darren's final early resulting in a 27th place finish.


    Friday December 11 2009:

    Darren scored 8th, 8th and 4th and his heat races. He will start Saturdays pre-final in 10th.


    Wednesday December 9 2009:

    White qualifies 10th, highest ranked pilot from Canada

    Although off the track Jonathon Treadwell doesn?t say a whole lot ? On the track he has one of the loudest voices in Karting. In 2009 the Huntsville teen became one of the winningest drivers in the BSRKC series when he secured a remarkable 5th Stewart Cup, by taking the Brian Stewart Senior Light Championship in commanding fashion with 4 podiums in 6 starts including 3 wins.     GreenSpeed Karting supported a full compliment of team and associate drivers at the recent round of the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship held at Mosport International Karting. A full field of nine two-cycle drivers on Saturday was followed up by three drivers taking to four-cycle action on wet and wild Sunday. GreenSpeed team drivers have been building pace throughout the season and are looking good in the point standings in several key classes including four championship leads and seven top five drivers in the standings at the halfway mark.
