GreenSpeed Karting Re-Launches Team Website

Yet another phase in the rebuilding of GreenSpeed Karting has been completed with the announcement today of the re-launch of the team’s new website. Designed and developed by Autosports Media, the site features a complete redesign, including up to date news about GreenSpeed and its plans for 2009 as well as photos and much more. Coinciding with the launch of the website, the team is also announcing the addition of two key people on the management roster, Aaron de Heus and Ted Greenwood.

The team’s new website, www.greenspeedkarting.com, has a very professional look and feel and offers simple navigation allowing visitors to get to relevant information quickly. The site also features rotating team member graphics in the header and in depth bio’s of its team members.

“We wanted to have a consistent theme and focus on our drivers instead of just our products,” said new team owner Mike Morrison. “Since the day I first approached previous owner Marc Stehle, I have had one consistent vision and message and that is to ensure the GreenSpeed program focused on drivers and the complete racing experience. I think there is no question that this new site accomplishes that from the moment you hit the site – I’m very happy with it, and it will only get better as we develop more storylines around our drivers and their accomplishments in 2009”

Consistent with the driver first focus, the team is also very excited to announce Aaron de Heus and Ted Greenwood as key components of the team for 2009. Literally within a day of the news leaking in September that Morrison was assuming control of the GreenSpeed team, de Heus was quick to express his interest in the team and the program”

“To work and race on a TonyKart has always been an aspiration of mine, GreenSpeed gave me that opportunity in 2007 and I was able to wield it into a national championship. I am hopeful that in 2009 I am able to pass my experience onto our team members allowing them to achieve success on and off the track.”

Acting as the team’s Director of Racing Operations, the three-time Canadian Karting Champion brings nearly 20 years of experience as both a driver and tuner. Aaron will oversee the day-to-day management of GreenSpeed both at the track as well as in between race events, and will be a key component to building our Driver Development Program. The other key member being announced to the team is Ted Greenwood. Greenwood (TXM Racing Engines) is no stranger to GreenSpeed and has been involved with the team since it started several years ago. Acting as Director of Engine Support, Ted will be supporting GreenSpeed drivers on race day as well as between races. With the power of TXM Race engines behind them GreenSpeed Karting will not lack in power on the track.

Driver’s interested in joining the team can now visit the site and fill out the driver application and questionnaire under the Race Team section. More information about the team and the GreenSpeed Concept can be found at www.greenspeedkarting.com.
